The Principal Scientist will drive the discovery, evaluation, and development of biomarkers including, MOA, PD and predictive response markers for key compounds in the Lung DAS portfolio as CDT Biomarker leader. S/he will collaborate with diverse functional groups to ensure proper implementation and analysis of biomarkers in the clinical development of key assets, design and execute assays, generate technical reports, patent applications, manuscripts and present data at both internal and external meetings, and provide expertise for immuno-oncology clinical assays in the Lung DAS portfolio. S/he will represent biomarker team in compound development teams and drive biomarker strategy for assigned compounds. S/he will supervise laboratory personal, identify, evaluate, develop and implement in clinical protocols, relevant and novel assays for assessment of biomarkers to monitor activity of therapeutic agent, and develop clinical assays and conduct clinical trials of key biomarkers in our compounds.
The Principal Scientist will be responsible for the conduct, analysis and reporting of data in accordance with requirements set forth by the department. S/he will ensure maintenance of detailed documentation of assay development methods and performance; record experimental data accurately in highly organized laboratory notebooks. S/he will manage laboratory personal direct their research efforts and provide strategic leadership for their work.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. is required with at least 5 years of industry, academic, or equivalent experience in the fields of lung cancer or immuno-oncology is required. Laboratory Supervisory experience is required. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. A successful track record of publications is desired. This position is located in Spring House, PA. There will be less than 10% travel.
