Project Manager


As a core member of multiple Project Teams, lead the operational execution of projects from early drug discovery through first-in-human clinical trials using Critical Chain project management to drive rapid and reliable completion of critical project deliverables. In partnership with the project leader, develop and actively manage projects, including proactive identification and resolution of issues jeopardizing successful deliveries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with functional leaders, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and facilitate the resolution of potential timeline, task and resource issues and support internal JBIO staff in the execution of drug development project work.
  • Develop and actively manage operational project plans using Critical Chain project management.
  • Ensure prioritization and timeline alignment between JBIO and downstream customers.
  • Develop and maintain long-term placeholder project plans to ensure valid, actionable resource demand forecasts.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies and act as interface with other project management functions for integrated project timelines/resources.
  • Contribute to operational problem resolution by developing contingency scenarios with functional areas and downstream stakeholders.
  • Maintain knowledge of cross-disciplinary processes and development programs.
  • Provide key data to Functional Area Heads to update project status and impact on TA and overall portfolio (e. g. timelines, resources, and delays).
  • Contribute to and maintain standards within JBIO Scientific Planning & Execution (templates, processes, best practices).
  • Facilitate communication to and from project teams by ensuring accessibility and completeness of information (Project plans and supporting information)
  • On a weekly basis, document cause and impact of obstacles that inhibit focused progress.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor s degree, some college course work with Bachelor s degree to be completed, Master s degree or PhD in related field with at least 5+ years experience as a project manager (life sciences preferred) is required
    • Demonstrated strong project management expertise is required
    • PMP certification is preferred
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (IIL Blue Belt or Equivalent) is required
    • Special Training or Certification:
      • Experience managing projects using Critical Chain methodology and ProChain Enterprise is preferred
      • ProChain Expert certification or equivalent experience is preferred
      • Strong knowledge of drug discovery for biologics is preferred.

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
